The Best of Anime Returns This Year for Yet Another Exciting Anime Convention!

One of the biggest, most exciting and diverse anime conventions in the Philippines will celebrate its 10th year! The Best of Anime 2019 is an event you shouldn’t miss! The event will be held on August 31 – September 1, 2019 at the SMX Convention Center.

THE BEST OF ANIME started as a co-located event of the Manila International Book Fair in 2009 which aims to promote Japanese Pop Culture through education, exhibition and entertainment. Throughout the years, it slowly established its position in the anime scene earning its claim as one of the biggest anime conventions in the Philippines.

For the past decade, The Best of Anime was graced by the presence of well-known cosplayers Reika (Japan), Yuegene Fay (Thailand), Mon (Taiwan) and Misa Chiang (Taiwan) including distinguished performers STARMARIE (Japan), SPYAIR (Japan), An Café (Japan), INKT (Japan), Eir Aoi (Japan) and Haruna Luna (Japan).

This year for its 10th edition, we will be joined by guest cosplayer MONYA of Japan and some of the biggest cosplayers from Taiwan, KING, CHIHIRO and MOMO! Coming back again this year are The Best of Anime favorites: fantasy idol group, STARMARIE (Japan) and visual kei rock band, UCHUSENTAI: NOIZ (Japan). But that’s not all, this year, we’re bringing a new Japanese Orthodox Royal Road Idol Group, YUMEOI SYOUJYO (Japan) and the creator of the opening theme songs of Air Gear (“Chain”), Murder Princess OVA (“Hikari Sasuhou”), Eyeshield 21 (“Blaze Line”) Fairy Tail (“Strike Back”) and Gundam Build Fighters (“Nibun no Ichi”), BACK-ON (Japan)!

Some of the event’s highlights is the staple competitions, All-Star Cosplay Competition, Anime Idol Dance Battle, Anime Sing-off and Battle of the bands, the exciting roster of exhibits and the all the awesome prizes. Hurry and join us at The Best of Anime 2019!
