One of the movies we’re waiting for is the film adaptation of Artemis Fowl, based on the series of novels written by Eoin Colfer.
Now, the first trailer was just released and we’re even more excited to see it!

Artemis Fowl follows the adventures of the titular character, a teenage genius who battles with a race of fairies who may be behind his father’s disappearance. The series includes eight novels published between 2001 and 2012, which was received well by critics. The New York Times describes the series as Die Hard with fairies, and said that “Colfer has done enormously, explosively well.”
The adaptation will star Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell Tamara Smart, Nonso Anozie, Hong Chau, Josh Gad, and Judi Dench. It will be directed by Professor Gilderoy Lockhart Kenneth Branagh.
Artemis Fowl is set to premiere on August 9, 2019.
