The 1975 in Manila Made Us Feel So Many Things

There are bands that you just never get sick of watching live and never get sick of hearing on your playlist. For me, The 1975 is one of those bands. I don’t know how to explain it: they just make me… feel things. And last night, in the Mall of Asia Arena, they did exactly that – for me and for so many of their fans in the country.

I still remember how I felt when I realized I still didn’t have tickets to the concert when September arrived: a mix of panic, sadness, and despair. When those tickets materialized, though, it didn’t take long for me to get hyped up for it. Yes, I was going to watch The 1975 in Manila once again! And although it was a completely different concert from the first one I went to what seems like eons ago, the feels were all the same.

Their music aside, you can always count on The 1975 to hold a concert that is just so beautiful to look at AND listen to at the same time. Trust me: all of our eyes, ears, and hearts were happy last night – and if you were there, I’m sure you understand exactly what we mean.

One of our favorite parts during the concert was when Matty forgot some of the lyrics; but honestly, it just made him all the more endearing when he laughed it off.

Overall, you can bet that we went home happy – and, well, still hyped up – after the concert. Our playlist on the way back home was purely of The 1975. And if you didn’t go because you weren’t sure if it was worth the money, let me tell you this: The 1975 is always. worth. the. money.
