TevaSphere Trail Shoe: Trail Running Made Awesome
Trail runners, take note: a new trail shoe is making waves. I’d like to announce the launch of the TevaSphere, an athletic footwear collection designed for the rugged performance needs of the outdoor sports enthusiast. This shoe was made for trail running. The TevaSphere trail shoe comes equipped with a first-of-its-kind spherical heel and pod-arch system designed to deliver a more natural point of impact during your foot-strike, efficient transition and superior stability on varied terrain, without restricting freedom of movement or adding unnecessary weight to the shoe.
New Trail Shoe Technology
The TevaSphere‘s spherical heel and support pods (located mid-sole on either side of your arch) give you the natural motion benefits of being barefoot, yet provide the comfort and stability of a traditional trail shoe. The spherical heel is shaped a lot like your actual heel, which keeps your foot lower to the ground and your stride more natural, whether you are a heel-striker or a mid-striker. The support pods provide stability only where necessary, making the shoe a stable yet lightweight platform.
The TevaSphere collection includes several types of trail shoe. I was given a pair of TevaSphere Speed  (see other types below) to try out. The photo above and at left are both of the same trail shoe I was given. I’ll have a full performance report for you after I put them through some extreme conditions on Sunday, when I take on the Teva Trail Challenge (Eartheaven, San Mateo, Rizal) on July 28, 2013. This is no ordinary trail 10k, but an adrenaline-pumping experience as participants go head-to-head in a muddy obstacle course race. I’m sure I’ll be posting some pictures of my fat ass getting stomped into the mud by some real trail runners. This is my introduction to trail running. I could have taken the 5k, but I love pain.

The TevaSphere trail shoe debuted in the Philippines in May 2013.

- TevaSphere Trail eVent® features eVent® breathable waterproof membrane, sturdy design and toe bumper for added protection. The TevaSphere Trail eVent is available in three colors for men and two for women with an SRP of PHP 6,990.00.
- TevaSphere Trail is built for women who prefer the benefits of a sturdy trail shoe and can forgo waterproof features. The TevaSphere Trail is available for women only, in three colors with an MSRP SRP of PHP 5,490.00.
