After six presidents and almost four decades, the Aluling Bridge in Cervantes, Ilocos Sur opened in 2013, which has significantly improved local business and saved lives since then.
Under the administration of President Benigno Aquino III, the 180-meter bridge is completed. The project was conceptualized in 1978.

In almost four decades, residents have been moving and trading in Cervantes with extreme difficulty. Yet, this town is just 6 kilometers away from another town.
The completion of the bridge also encourages more tourists to visit. Spots to see in Cervantes include Gambang Falls and Yamashita Cave.
That’s a long time to build a 180-meter bridge. It’s good to know that it’s complete now.
