Japanese Reality Show ‘Terrace House’ Finally Has Its First Filipino Cast Member

Terrace House, a Japanese reality show that has been called Asia’s Big Brother, recently debuted their first-ever Pinoy cast member in all the 5 series it’s been running. His name is Johnkimverlu Tupas and the internet is going crazy over him.

Having only recently come on during the season’s 13th episode there is not much we know about Johnkimverlu just yet. The basic information we have is that he is a 22-year-old personal assistant hailing from (where else?) the Philippines. Despite that, people have become fast fans and are eagerly awaiting what happens next.

Aside from the usual Pinoy pride fueling this interest in Johnkimverlu, many are flat-out compelled by his name. Twitter users have unabashedly fixated on the “most Filipino name ever”, referring to the old-school Pinoy styling of the name.

As episodes progress, I’m sure there will be more to remember of Johnkimverlu aside from his name. After all, as an unscripted reality show following six strangers living in the same house things are bound to get interesting.
