Mystics, revolutionaries, or harbingers of doom? In the distant past, soothsayers and shamans have attempted to foretell what lies ahead. Now, attempts are made using machines with predictive vision that can anticipate future events or disasters.
Arte Pintura Gallery’s ‘Terra Incognita’ (or unknown terrain or territory in Latin) challenges eight artists to present their vision of our distant future through works of art narrating dystopian scenarios that only their unique minds can foresee.
The discordant styles and concepts of Xavier Abelador, Flor Baradi, Michael Espanol, Joselito Jandayan, Vincent Lavega, Raul Lebajo, Nestor Ong and Erwin Pineda, although all assigned a single task, further emphasize theme of the exhibit.
‘Terra Incognita’ is on view at the Arte Pintura Gallery, lobby level of The Address Condominium in Wack Wack, Mandaluyong City. The exhibit runs from July 02 until July 16, 2016. You may call 631-0898 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further inquiries.
