After the COVID-19 pandemic halted production of the much-awaited teleserye starring James Reid and MOMOLAND’s Nancy McDonie, ABS-CBN announced that it’s still pushing through as part of the network’s lineup of shows for 2021!
Dreamscape Entertainment dropped the trailer on Sunday, December 20, showcasing its many different upcoming offerings and included portraits of James and Nancy, suggesting that their series “The Soulmate Project” is still a go.
“The Soulmate Project” was first announced in late September 2019 and the two officially met for the first time during the story conference in early October. The photo instantly went viral, with many fans expressing their excitement over the new love team.
Helming the show as both director and writer is Antoinette Jadaone. “The Soulmate Project” reportedly will have 13 episodes which will be finished prior to its premiere.
It will be set in the Philippines where a fictional law had just been enacted in which the government will match its citizens to their soulmates. James will portray Jayson from Tondo and Nancy will play Binna, a Korean-American residing in the country.
It has yet to be announced when it will premiere.
