Teen Vogue, another US-based magazine featured the real life couple, James Reid and Nadine Lustre, famously known as JaDine.
According to the article entitled: “James Reid and Nadine Lustre are the Filipino Love Team You Need to Know, written by Isis Briones, tackled the concept of “love team” in the Philippines and how this has changed the couple.
In fact, Nadine told Teen Vogue, “if you’re in a love team, you get all of the projects together. You’re a package deal.”
In verbatim, Teen Vogue wrote:
“The entertainment industry in the Philippines is a little different than it is in America. There, actors must have a wide range of skills to appear on the big screen, meaning acting is actually just a small part of their jobs. ”
This is the reality of JaDine — or James Reid and Nadine Lustre — who are currently one of the most popular love teams in the Philippines.
It was also narrated in the article how the two lovebirds met. “The first time we got paired together was for his music video,” Nadine shares Teen Vogue. While James added, “She was the girl I picked, it was just instinct. After that music video, nothing really happened … (until) our first movie,” James referred to the hit movie “Diary ng Panget.”
And that’s how the love team started. Their avid fans were the ones who coined the term: “JaDine” which is the couple’s initials.
