The Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Management (MEM) of De La Salle University understands that technical and professional development thrives from experiences outside of the classroom. It is through these that we hope to put forward our student’s professional development as they prepare to become engineers for the Philippines.
In line with this, the MEM Department in cooperation with SME has prepared the Technology Impact Summit 2017 on April 1, 2017 (Saturday). This event brings together great minds and aims to promote awareness on the current advancements in technology. With various talks from industry experts and distinguished speakers, it serves as an avenue for the technical and professional development of young innovators. The conference also seeks to inspire students to enhance their skills and expand their ideas, and encourage them to contribute to society through technology.
There will also be several breakout sessions that the participants may take part in, depending on their interests. These sessions will be led by distinguished speakers who are experts in their field. Some of the topics included are Virtual Reality, Internet of Things, Application Development, Biomedical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. The Technology Impact Summit 2017 ends with a social event which allows the students to connect with other students, professionals, and representatives of different start-up companies.
