Since our #TravelGoals is in the backseat for more than a year already, TikTok is taking us around the Philippines with their Filipino Cuisine Campaign called #SarapMagingPinoy. Through this campaign, creators from all over the Philippines can share Filipino food that they love, whether it be an heirloom recipe or a new take on a classic favorite.
The #SarapMagingPinoy campaign is in partnership with the Department of Tourism and will help you discover amazing food recipes from all over the Philippines. You can check out different videos based on different provinces like Vigan, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Batangas, Bicol, Cebu, Bacolod, Zamboanga and Gen San.
TikTok also released a digital video showcasing must-try dishes from our local provinces! Some of our favorites are Chicken Binakol, Batangas Lomi, Laing, Pinaso, Kinamatisang Buto-buto, Tuslob Buwa, Kare-Kare and Tupig.
“On TikTok, hundreds of Filipinos have joined countless other foodie creators from all over the globe, who post about their native cuisine. Our food vertical showcases the history of our food, educating the new generation and others outside of the Philippines of how diverse and rich the Philippine culture really is. Because of this, browsing through the variety of food content on the platform can almost seem like a virtual culinary tour,” says Celina Tan, TikTok PH Marketing Manager.
Some of the must-try recipes include the delicious Chicken Binakol, Batangas Lomi, Pinaso and Tupig.
TikTok creator Dennis Bacarisas shared a recipe of Chicken Binakol which is a specialty of Aklan. The recipe is quite simple but the main ingredients were Chicken and Coconut. It is perfect to enjoy in a rainy day and with some hot cup of rice.

Chef Gelo Guison of Bulacan also shared a very authentic Bulakeño dessert called “Pinaso”. Made with eggs, sugar, lemon and crackers, this dessert has a very crunchy crust on top and soft and delicious inside. It is a yummy combination of leche flan and custard.

The Batangas Lomi is very iconic. It is one of the most delicious soup recipes in the Philippines. Whenever you are in Batangas, a warm bowl of Lomi is a must-try. A loaded lomi like what Edlyn Ho shared and it’s complete with all the delicious toppings like lumpia, chicken, chicharon and hard boiled egg.
