The global phenomenon that is the Subtle Asian Traits Facebook group, which has provided a space for over 1.7 Million Asian youths to share their memes, jokes, stories, and collective love for dimsum and boba, just gained a new member — and the news is enough to send every Avatar: The Last Airbender fan into a frenzy.
Dante Basco, the Filipino-American voice actor of our favorite firebending master Zuko, surprised Subtle Asian Traits members when he published his first post in the group on Tuesday morning, April 28.
“Uhhh… Hello, Zuko here. New to this group, AJ Arthur Joseph Rafael invited me. What do y’all do here?” he said.
Fans welcomed him to the group with much excitement, even dropping Avatar-related jokes and gifs in the comments.
“The Fire Lord!” many gushed.
“That’s rough buddy,” others said.
“And then the Fire Nation attacked!” others joked.
