Here’s some exciting news for anyone still dying to find out if Zoey and Chase finally got together (myself included): amidst talks of a Zoey 101 reboot featuring the original cast in their adult lives, a major reunion just happened amongst most of the principle cast and showrunner/creator Dan Schneider. It could mean nothing but it could also mean the start of a very exciting project.

Schneider shared on his Instagram: “Some Zoey 101 buzz got me talking with my good friend Sean Flynn (“Chase”)… and within about 72 hours, this happened!” It looks like most of the main cast was able to make it, with the obvious exception of Jamie Lynn Spears.

Spears was, unfortunately, busy filming in Atlanta for a project. The rest of the cast did try to call her through Facetime but she (in her words) is “lame and fell asleep.”

But don’t let her absence make you doubt her willingness to join in should a reboot ever happen. When the rumors concerning Zoey 101 first started to erupt from TMZ, she very readily stated her eagerness for a reboot. She posted a series of articles stating the reboot rumor and captioned it: “Yo, @nickelodeon have your people call my people #Zoey101” If that isn’t approval, then I don’t know what is!
