Inspired by the timeless Charles Schultz comic strip, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown showcases the life of the Peanuts gang as they go about their pursuit of happiness, coupled with catchy songs and funny annecdotes shown in the same vignette style characteristic of the strip.
Presented by 9 Work’s Theatrical and directed by veteran actor, Michael Williams, this musical is truly a must-see for all die hard Peanuts fans.
Empathize with Charlie Brown, played by Robbie Guevarra (The Sound of Music, Man of La Mancha, Miss Saigon Manila) as he once again tries to win the heart of the pretty, but elusive, Little Red-Haired Girl and battles with his kite.
Trying to “analyze” Charlie Brown’s problems is the ever bossy and crabby Lucy, played by Carla Guevarra-Laforteza (The Sound of Music, The Baker’s Wife, Avenue Q) who, at the same time, is also trying to win the heart of the musically-gifted and talented, but Beethoven-obsessed Schoeder, brought to life by none other than Pop Talk‘s Tonipet Gaba.
Charlie Brown’s adorable and lovable little sister, Sally (played by The CompanY‘s very own Sweet Plantado-Tiongson) battles with her own problems by coming up with brand new philosophies.
Keeping Charlie Brown’s spirits up is his best friend, the fact-touting Linus, played by Franco Laurel of Eezy Dancing and Keep on Dancing fame (9Works Theatrical’s Marketing and PR Director, Toff de Venecia, will also be playing the same role on certain performances); and the ever-loyal Snoopy, brought to life by the talented Lorenz Martinez (The Sound of Music, Camelot, Jesus Christ Superstar.)
