The Youth Entrepreneurship and Leadership Laboratory (YELL) is a transnational project that aims to develop young social entrepreneurs who exhibit “out-of-the-box” thinking and exemplary leadership skills. YELL intends to promote social entrepreneurship to youth by increasing their understanding of, and ability to become social entrepreneurs.

On March 15 to 20, 2015, a seminar in the Philippines will be conducted.

The seminar features interactive activities that explore how social entrepreneurs in the host country have used innovative and entrepreneurial approaches to address pressing social and economic issues.

On March 16, a forum on “Private-Public Partnership for Youth Opportunities and Entrepreneurship” will gather practitioners from various fields that work on social enterprise and entrepreneurship. Selected institutions will present researches, projects, programs and activities that underscore youth involvement in the topic. Furthermore, each panel discussion will be followed by an open forum to allow participants to talk with the invited experts. The speakers will include representatives from Asian Development Bank, British Council, Erasmus Mundus Association–European Union, European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, GoNegosyo (Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship), National Youth Commission, Negosyong Pinoy Finance Corporation, Office of Senator Bam Aquino, Ritual Store, Sari Software Solutions, Seed Core Enterprises, Semper Avanti and Youth for Sustainable Development.

The project is in partnership with the Asian Development Bank Youth Initiative, Choragiew, Opolska, Erasmus Program of the European Union, Gessellschaft Fuer Europabildung (GEB) , and Solidaritez Jeunesses Vietnam (SJ Vietnam).
