If you’re one of those who still use Yahoo, you may have noticed a few days ago that Yahoo! Philippines now redirects to the Singapore homepage.
This is because Yahoo! has shut down the Philippine homepage.
The move goes along with Yahoo Inc shutting down its other services, including Yahoo Maps, and other sites worldwide such as Yahoo Music in Canada and Yahoo Movies in Spain. Yahoo TV and Yahoo Autos will also be shutting down in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain by the end of the month.
Reports say that this closing of services is in efforts to streamline its business and focus on search and digital content, in order to increase its audience and generate more ad revenue.
Yahoo! reportedly announced the closing of their services in a blog post.
