It’s definitely a great year for superhero movies. The next one coming up? X-Men: Apocalypse! I had nothing against the old X-Men movies; but when Matthew Vaughn rekindled the franchise, I fell even more in love with them. So, although we’ve seen some of the characters in this article in the older X-Men films, I am still super excited to see them in Apocalypse. These are the characters I am most excited to see:

7. Storm
Sure, we’ve all seen Storm in the old X-Men movies and you might even already be sick of her, but she’s very different in Apocalypse. Here, she’s a member of the Four Horsemen with a mohawk!
6. Quicksilver
Although I am biased because I love Aaron Taylor-Johnson, I am excited to see Quicksilver again. You gotta admit: in Days of Future Past, he definitely stole the show in his slow motion scene in the kitchen – and who wouldn’t wanna see more of that?
5. Psylocke
I’m not sure why Psylocke hasn’t made a movie appearance up until now, but I’m glad she’s finally part of the movies. Being one of the most bad ass female characters in the comic books (in my opinion, anyway), she’s a very welcome addition to the movies.
4. Archangel
You  may remember Angel from the older X-Men movie, The Last Stand. Well, in the comics, Angel’s wings get destroyed and he gets approached by Apocalypse who promises to give him new wings if he joins the Four Horsemen. Hello, Archangel! Look. At. Those. Wings.
3. Jubilee
As a child, Jubilee was my favorite in the X-Men comics and cartoons because, well, 1) she’s Asian and 2) my favorite color is yellow. Plus, she’s super cute and fashionable, and what little girl doesn’t want to be cute and fashionable? Well, Jubilee is finally in the movies and I just can’t wait for her to have her moment!
2. Jean Grey
Not going to lie, but the main reason I’m excited to see Jean Grey in Apocalypse is because she is being played by Sophie Turner aka Sansa Stark. I’m just really interested in seeing how she will fare in a new (and very different) role.
1. Apocalypse
It’s Apocalypse’s first appearance in the movies!!! Although not a lot of details have been released about it, word on the interwebs says they’ll be following his comic book origin story pretty closely.
