This December, World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) will hold its largest cultural event of the year with the newly launched WYAAP Creative Jam. The event will bring together around 70 youth leaders, artists, art enthusiasts, and social entrepreneurs in celebration of creativity for social development. It will be held on December 5, 2015 at 47 East and Espinosa Arts & Design (EADE), Quezon City, Philippines.

The WYAAP Creative Jam is a one-day event for young individuals to have a platform for artistic expression and collaboration. The event includes an Art Exhibit where selected artists will showcase art pieces and conduct live art demos, a series of Creative Talks to be given by renowned artists and social entrepreneurs, and an Evening Mixer where guests can mingle, build collaborations, and start friendships.

On its first year, the Creative Jam will focus on the theme “How to Imagine.”It takes imagination to create brilliant ideas—ideas that result to the greatest innovations of our time. The event hopes to empower the youth by encouraging them to creatively visualize a better society, to communicate their ideas through art and culture, and to use their talents in addressing societal issues that need innovative solutions. For WYAAP, imagination is the first step in remodeling a better world.

The Art Exhibit will showcase different works of photography, illustration, digital art, painting, doodling, paper art and lettering, among others, from a variety of artists. Several artists will also be giving live demos of their craft. The Art Exhibit will be open from 12:00 p.m. until the end of the event, while the Live Art Demos will be from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. only.

The Creative Talks will consist of three fifteen-minute talks to be given by renowned speakers in the creative as well as social development field. These will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Following the Creative Talks will be the Evening mixer, which will be a casual platform for guests to meet new people and initiate collaborations. Live musical performances by several local artists will accompany this part of the event.
