This just in: a woman gave birth on the street near City of Dreams Manila, due to the heavy traffic presumably caused by the APEC week.
A netizen, Angel Ramos-Canoy, posted a photo of a woman who went into labor on the street, after being stuck in the heavy rush hour situation this morning.
According to the post, the pedestrians who witnessed the commotion tried to ask for help from the police to help get an ambulance, but the police officer simply reasoned out that the traffic was too heavy. The original poster even suggested to use the police mobile, but the officer simply shrugged it off.
The original caption reads:
5am, We are already on the road. Waiting for a bus/van/jeep na pwdeng masakyan.
Until now, nasa kalsada pa rin kami–naglalakad along COD.
Nakita namin sakto kung paano si Ate nag Labor at nanganak. Baby Boy!!
Si Ateng naka-Red, nakikiusap maigi sa ibang mga Pulis na kumuha ng ambulance, kaso wala. TRAFFIC EH!
Sabi ko, ‘Kuya, ung mobile nyo man lang!’ Kaso, nagkibit balikat lang si Kuyang Police.
Sad to say, we were there. All we can do is to give shade through our umbrellas.

The mommy is sleeping. Or tired. Or exhausted. Perhaps, she passed out.
All we can do now is PRAY. Hoping they will be fine. SOON.
No word out yet on the mother and baby’s condition as of late.
