On August 1, Marquez shared a photo during her first day and revealed that she had already been voted as class president.

“BCMC Class 01 2020 – Class President, Marquez. Hooyah!! #PhNavyReserveForce,” she said in the caption. “Congrats sa lahat (to all)! Class 01 let’s do this!”

She also noted that “strict protocol was followed” during training and that everyone had taken the rapid test prior to assembling that day.

It was back on February 18 when Marquez shared a photo of herself enrolling for the Basic Citizen’s Military Training.

“People are asking me why I want to do this… I simply said because I want to… that’s it. No need for long explanations. We don’t need to justify what we want to do, we can just show them what a woman can do,” she wrote at the time.

Marquez joins the growing list of celebrities who have enlisted as military reservists within the recent years, such as Rocco Nacino, Dingdong Dantes, Matteo Guidicelli, Gerald Anderson, Arci Muñoz, JM De Guzman, and many more.
