This all-around retail giant just made public the finalization of its entry into the Philippines this April 1. Things have been kept quiet in case of complications but now that deals have been closed and contracts have been signed they’re free to let the cat out of the bag. The chain’s first Philippine branch is set to open in Metro Manila! And we’ve got all the details.
Walmart Philippines’ first store will be opening in Muntinlupa. The second branch is said to be in the Alabang area, which affords them enough space for their set up, and they’re going to need it with the wide array of products they’re planning on offering. From the grocery to the electronics department, and even home & lifestyle — Walmart plans to bring a complete retail experience to New Manila as their third branch.
Company representatives have also mentioned the possibility of expanding Walmart in the Philippine market. Should their flagship store prove to be successful here we can expect to see a number of other Walmart branches popping up all over the Philippines.
