Business Process Outsourcing or BPO is one of the blossoming industries in the Philippines.
Although there are diverse alternative job opportunities today, BPO remains a popular choice for most people. Not only does it help the PH’s economy grow exponentially, it’s also changing people’s lives.
On July, VXI Philippines inaugurated their biggest site in the Philippines: VXI Panorama.
VXI’s biggest site in the Philippines is called ‘VXI Panorama’ and is located at 1029 Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Quezon City.
The place made me feel nostalgic. It’s been years since I last visited their old site which is in front of Panorama.
The interior and the vibe mirror VXI’s hip and modernized approach.
Furthermore, prestigious guests namely DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, Congressman Vincent Crisologo, Councilors Anthony Peter Crisologo, Ivy Xenia Lagman, and Elizabeth Delarmente attended the inauguration.
VXI PH, winner of the Best Contact Center and BPO Company of the Year award and finalist in Best Company of the Year and Best Employer of the Year categories at the 11th International ICT Awards, currently has nine sites in different parts of the country and a 13,000-strong population.
In addition, the event was intimate and full emotions after watching VXI’s first viral video “Passion for People.”

I thought I wouldn’t cry anymore, yet still, it hit me right in the feels. DTI Secretary Lopez also shared: “nakakapanindig balahibo” (yung video) (he had goose bumps) whilst watching it too.
People were moved by the stories of VXI employees.
After watching the uplifting video, Executive Vice President and Philippine Country Manager Jared Morrison expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the inauguration. He was also proud that the site is the reflection of their commitment and passion for people.
“Changing People’s Lives”
The call center industry is close to my heart. The industry itself gave a huge amount of hope to new graduates and even to those who are looking for greener pastures.
In an interview with Jovencito Llanes, VP for Human Resources about “changing people’s lives” and diversity, Sir Jovy proudly said that working for VXI doesn’t end with taking calls; in fact, it’s the beginning of more fantastic opportunities. He further shared that most of the executives present during the inauguration all started as agents and climbed up the ladder by joining human resources initiatives such as leadership training (the 7 habits of highly effective people) and certifications.
“We acknowledge our staff’s capabilities by giving them countless opportunities at VXI. In my 30 years working in HR, you [really] need to create a culture wherein people are happy, where people feel they are well taken care of, where people really feel they are part of a family. So even if they have obligations, at the end of the day, they have careers, paid well, they like their bosses, and although they make sacrifices, parents are able to give their family a good life,” Sir Jovy added.
Furthermore, he emphasized on the “flexibility” of the employees, wherein if someone is sick in the family, employees will just inform their immediate superior and give a valid reason for their absence.
Ultimately, he wanted for the employees to feel that they are “an employee of choice.”
VXI believes that life is a continuous learning process, so they will not stop in nourishing their employees with skills and vast knowledge in leadership and alike.
*deep sigh* I miss VXI. I miss the environment. I miss everything about them.
