Volleyball Players to watch out for on the 78th Season of UAAP
With the UAAP well underway, many are looking forward to the volleyball games.
Volleyball has been a huge sport in the Philippines and as everyone rally behind their favorite teams, many of us had developed our favorites because of their killer moves and charming looks.
JAJA SANTIAGO
Standing at 6-foot-4, Jaja is the tallest player in the UAAP. She was offered an athletic scholarship from the UCLA but had decided to stay with the NU Lady Bulldogs and continue her studies of Electronics and Communications Engineering. Aside from UAAP Volleyball, Jaja also plays for the V-League and Team Filipinas for the SEA Games.
MIKA REYES
This court cutie is a part of the De La Salle Lady Spikers and a part of the two-time UAAP champions. She’s also a four-time PVF Intercol champion and has an award as champion for both Unigames and PNG.
ARA GALANG
This multi-awarded athlete is one of the most sought-after volleyball players in the UAAP. She gained popularity as a part of the De La Salle University Lady Spikers and had received nods on her Rookie Year in Season 74. She was also awarded Most Valuable Player in Season 75 where she helped her team get its third in a row win.
ALYSSA VALDEZ
The Phenom herself is a part of the back-to-back champions Ateneo Lady Eagles. She is one of the most followed volleyball player on social media and has received numerous Most Valuable Player awards from the UAAP and V-League and also gained Special Recognitions from different Media Organizations. She also represented the Philippines with some Asian Volleyball Leagues held abroad.
