Volkswagen is Back in the Philippines! The Time is Now.

Volkswagen is back in the Philippines!

Volkswagen

When in Manila, who hasn’t heard of Volkswagen? Without a doubt, Volkswagen is one of the world’s most well-loved automotive brands out there. Well, now, it is back in the Philippines and last night, I was lucky enough to watch some of the most gorgeous Volkswagen cars roll off at the Ayala Tower One and Exchange Plaza in Makati City.

Volkswagen When the countdown to the launch began, we were all at the edges of our seats!

Volkswagen‘s launch had the theme “The Time is Now” and during the launch, we learned all about the brand’s heritage, passion and vision courtesy of Mr. Weiming Soh, Executive Vice President Volkswagen AG, President Commercial Operations of Greater China and ASEAN who arrived on-stage with the utmost style: in one of the classic Beetles that Volkswagen is well-known for.

Volkswagen I can tell you right now that I definitely wasn’t expecting that!

Volkswagen: The Vision

The first prototype of Volkswagen was actually developed by Ferdinand Porsche, whose dream was to create a car that everybody could afford. This is the foundation that the brand is generally built on.

The Ayala Group, another strong corporation backed with a long and illustrious heritage and record of success – just like Volkswagen – has forged an alliance to bring the brand back to the Philippines. “A strong partner is critical to our success; hence, I am personally delighted that we have forged an alliance with the Ayala Group,” Soh said.

Of course, Fernando Zobel de Ayala, president and Chief Operating Officer of Ayala Corporation rolled in in style, as well, this time in the 21st century version of the Volkswagen Beetle.

Volkswagen

For their part, Ayala Automotive Holdings corporation is honored to be instrumental in bringing Volkswagen back to the Filipino people. Being a status icon, the time is definitely now for Volkswagen to come back to the Philippines and reconnect with the Filipino market.

Right now, Volkswagen Group is the biggest European automotive manufacturer, featuring 12 brands, including Volkswagen Passenger Cars, SEAT, Audi, SKODA, Bugatti, Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini, Ducati, Scania, MAN and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
