Vesti: Local Bags Hollywood Stars Would Kill to Own

WHEN IN MANILA, the bag you are carrying can either make or break your outfit. I still remember the time when Victoria Beckham carried a faux Louis Vuitton bag. Her outfit as usual was just fab but the faux bag was too much of a deal breaker. Thankfully, Marc Jacobs saved her and sent her a real one.

 

I don’t think a bag must carry a designer’s name before it can pass as something fabulous. Nowadays, even local brands are carrying topnotch quality with Proenza Schouler-esque design. One of my personal fave local bag brands is Vesti because they opt to use hand-woven indigenous fabrics from the different Tribes and communities in Mindanao and turn into a bag Rachel Zoe would love to carry. Among Vesti’s wonderful bag designs, here are my top 3!

 

 

I love vintage looking finds and this bag from Vesti is no exception! I love how the chain of the bag and the knobs spell vintage while the print screams modernity!

This is definitely the best way to amp up a vintage looking find.

 

 

If you guys don’t know by now, I’m a make-up junkie. I always have a hard time finding a cute pouch to store my cosmetics whenever I travel but lookie here, this uber cute and uber chic make-up bag from Vesti is the answer to my prayers. So fab!

 

 

I’m such a Carrie Bradshaw lover. I am! I love anything that has Carrie written all over and this clutch from Vesti does just that! That zebra looking print, so Carrie Bradshaw and that neon pinkish color, definitely Carrie!
