“Uncharted” Reveals First Look of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake

Three years ago, Sony Pictures announced that they had cast Tom Holland in the role of Nathan Drake in the upcoming action adventure ‘Uncharted’, adapted from the popular PlayStation video game franchise. Rather than retelling one of the games’ storylines, the upcoming ‘Uncharted’ movie will be giving us a Nathan Drake origin story instead.

Columbia Pictures has recently unveiled the first-look images with Tom as the young Nathan Drake. Check him out and other iconic images from the upcoming movie in the stills below.

In an interview with Collider.com, Tom talked about the narrative thrust of the movie adaptation. “I think what ‘Uncharted’ offers that most video games films don’t is that it’s an origin story to the games,” he says. “So if you played the games, you haven’t seen what’s going to happen in the film. And if you haven’t played the games, you’re going to enjoy the film because it’s information that everyone else is getting at the same time.”

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, ‘Uncharted’ will also star Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan. Out in Philippine cinemas in 2021, ‘Uncharted’ will be distributed by Columbia Pictures, the local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.

Do you think Tom will be a great Nathan Drake?
