Tuscano Italian Kitchen: Italian Inspired Cooking at Its Best

 

Did you guys know that there’s a pretty little restaurant tucked around Burgos Circle BGC that serves Italian inspired pizzas and pastas?

I just discovered this place called Tuscano Italian Kitchen situated at The Fort Residences at 30th Street and can I just say… it’s one of the nicest place to go to for Italian cooking!

First, they served us this heavenly Spinach and Artichoke Dip accompanied by a basket of chips.  Yum. I recommend this to people who are bringing their kids. The dip is so creamy and cheesy – didn’t even feel like I’m eating something made from vegetables (which we know appalls kids. hehe. )

Ms. Katt, Marketing Officer of McWilson Corporation*, told us that the owners believe in cooking fresh, so it takes a little bit more time for the pizzas to come. We got Pizza Margharetta & Goat’s Cheese and BBQ Smoked Chicken! 🙂

Margharetta & Goat’s Cheese has pomodoro sauce as its base. Goat’s cheese, roasted tomatoes and fresh basil are added on top. Just so you have an idea, goat’s cheese is kinda like blue cheese’s little brother: musky but less strong. 

 

BBQ Chicken, on the other hand, has olives, roasted tomatoes barbeque sauce coated grilled chicken on it. Its a bit on the sweeter side, so if you are a fan of that, go and order this one!

 

As for pasta, Tuscano Italian Kitchen has a hell of a lot of varieties to offer. We were served Wild Mushroom Cream Linguini (it’s sooooo creamy) …

Spicy Gamberetti Angel Hair Spaghettini (tangy and hot!)…

… and Tuscano Vongole, which is my personal favorite. Spaghetti pasta in olive oil with clams and white wine – a light take on pasta and seafood.

 

For drinks, we ordered mango and grape shake and dalandan juice. Ahhhh. Tropical flavors to match the Italian food. 

Last but not the least, is their Grandma’s Roasted Garlic Lemon Chicken. Tuscano Italian Kitchen‘s style is marinated chicken with crispy outside and tender inside. 

Yay. There. Italian inspired cooking just at BGC!
