Ateneo ENTABLADO is set to stage “Tungkulan: Tetralohiya ng mga Dulang Tungkulin Nating Panoorin,” a series of four one-act plays showcasing four different presidential rules that have plagued the Philippines through the years. The plays, written by Nicholas Pichay, Dominique La Victoria, Mikaela Regis and Patricia Lucido, directed by Jethro Niño Tenorio, are set to run from October 9 to October 27, 2018 at the Fine Arts Annex Blackbox Theater, Ateneo de Manila University.

“Tungkulan: Tetralohiya ng mga Dulang Tungkulin Nating Panoorin” is a nostalgic presentation of the atrocities and horrors that riddled the Philippines in the past years. Told from the lens of characters from different walks of life, the play hopes to be a creative and more palatable telling of political rules that seem to be left untold for quite a time.

Featuring adapted and original plays such as “Pangulo Naming Mahal,” “Ligtas ang Bansa,” “Libingan ng Medyo Bayani,” and “Ang Pagbabalikni Ramon dela Cruz,” the performances aim to encourage a rethinking of our ideal leadership and engage audiences in a more proactive choosing of people who will represent the nation’s best interests.

The organization invites everyone to catch the shows scheduled on October 9-13, October October 16-20 and October 23-27 at 7 PM, October 13, 20 and 27 at 11 AM and 3 PM.
