Tropical Storm Siony Enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility, Slightly Intensifies

While many parts of the country are still in the midst of Rolly, tropical storm Siony (international name Atsani) entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) and slightly intensified.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Siony entered the PAR at 8AM. It is forecasted to “move generally northwestward until Monday evening, then slowly west-southwestward by Tuesday.”

The agency added that “it remains less likely to affect any portion of the country over the next 2 to 3 days.”

As of posting, no tropical cyclone wind signals have been released for Siony.
