Good luck for the tricycle driver, bad luck for the wife.

A tricycle driver won the jackpot at Mega Lotto 6/45 draw last March 20, winning over P59 million in cash. The news was confirmed by Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) acting chair and general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II. The driver claimed his total prize of P59,206,432 yesterday, and shared his interesting story.

According to the driver, he has been raising his two children on his own for two years, after his wife left him because of financial difficulties. Because of his small income as a tricycle driver, both kids had to stop going to school. He started joining the lottery last year, and got his winning combination from his and his children’s birth dates and ages. He only bought one ticket.

After winning the P59 million jackpot, the tricycle driver said he will use the money to buy a new house and lot. He will also send both of his kids back to school, and buy a car so he can drop off and pick them up after. He will save a portion of it so they won’t go back to poverty.

He did not mention if he has plans of getting back with his wife.
