Founded three years ago in Cebu by Dr. Stephene Roy C. Wodd’s glasses come with spring hinges that automatically adjust depending on the size of your head, ensuring the utmost comfort. They also have CAT 3 polarized lenses that mitigate the glare that could affect your vision.
All of Wodd’s products are also made from bamboo, which is in line with their advocacy for sustainability. They have two variants: the hybrid model, which is made from 70% bamboo and 30% plastic; and the 100% complete bamboo model, which floats when you throw it in water. Plus, in collaboration with the Haribon Foundation, they plant a tree for every pair of sunglasses that they sell – how awesome is that?

Although Wodd focused solely on online selling when they started in 2018, they realized the need to expand their distribution channels all over the Philippines as the years passed. To date, they have more than 30 exclusive and handpicked retailers in some of the key important tourist destinations in the Philippines, such as Baguio, Boracay, Panglao, Siargao, Davao, Mati, Coron, Cebu, and La Union. They also work with Shangri La Cebu and Boracay, Crimson Cebu and Boracay, Kudo Surf, Isla.ph, Kalipay, Fat Lips, and Bravo Resort in Siargao, among others.
They have also won multiple awards! In fact, during the first half of 2021, they have already received four awards from Q Asia Publication, Elite Business, Leadership Award, Best Choice Awards, and the National Customers Choice Awards (NCCA). These awards consider Wodd PH to be the “best premier bamboo eyewear and sunglasses brand in the Philippines for 2021”. They are also considered the fastest growing eyewear brand in the Philippines today – and it really isn’t any wonder why.
