Siargao is definitely one of the places that most people have on their bucket lists and this 2023, is the time to make that dream into reality.
We have been wanting to come back to Siargao since the pandemic and now that tourism is back in full swing, we were able to rediscover the beauty and absolutely fell in love with Siargao all over again.
It was a bittersweet feeling coming back to Siargao. It’s been a year since Typhoon Odette and we didn’t know what to expect. Though many tourists are flocking to the island, we were able to catch a flight with Sunlight Air.
Known for their flights to Coron, Sunlight Air now flies to multiple destinations like Puerto Princesa, San Vicente, Camiguin, and Caticlan. Their 2x a week Siargao flights are through Sunlight Lounge which is their own passenger terminal. This will save you from the long lines and crowds of NAIA.
When we arrived in Siargao, we were immediately chartered to Siargao Bleu Resort & Spa which is right in the middle of General Luna, right in front of the beach and a few minute’s walk to Siargao’s iconic surf spot Cloud 9.
We highly suggest that you stay on the island for at least 5 days. There is just so much to see and you will surely want to stay for a little while longer every time you visit.
Some of Siargao’s must-visit destinations include Guyam Island, Naked Island, and Daku Island. All the photos you see on Instagram never lied. Each island is unique and so picturesque.Â
Daku island is where you can experience the best seafood that the province has to offer and of course, with a very beautiful spread.

Back on the main island, you can hop on a motorcycle to visit the Coconut Trees View Deck, Maasin River, go to beautiful cafes and try delicious restaurants.

Speaking of delicious restaurants, some of our favorites are Warung, Cev, and Abukay which are all in General Luna.
Of course, if you go to Siargao, you can’t miss surfing.
Whether you are a newbie or an experienced surfer, there is a space for you in Siargao. Though we were not so keen on trying to surf, the surfers made sure that we are equipped with everything we need to make the surfing experience flawless.
