Join the Toby’s Sports Karyn Velez Memorial Youth Badminton Championships 2014
Sanctioned by the Philippine Badminton Association, this year’s tournament is named after the Philippine’s former number 1 player and Toby’s ambassador, Karyn “Chibby” Velez. Toby’s YBC is one of three junior ranking tournaments of the country under the Philippine National Ranking System (PNRS).
Toby’s YBC 2014 is presented by RSL, Smart, and Robinsons Place Manila, and made in partnership with Adidas, Gatorade, Oracare, Poten-cee, C-Lium, Monde Nissin, Lucky Me!, and media partner WhenInManila.com.
The categories are boys and girls singles for Under 13, and boys singles, girls singles, boys doubles, girls doubles and mixed doubles for Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19.
Eliminations is on Oct. 22 to 24, 2014 at Powersmash Badminton Center (#2227 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City) and FINALS is on Oct 25, 2014 at Robinsons Place Manila Midtown Atrium.
To join, fill up entry form found in Toby’s outlets, www.tobys.com and in www.facebook.com/Tobyssportsstore and submit to participating Toby’s Sports branches: SM North EDSA Main or The Block, Robinsons Manila, Mall of Asia, Megamall, SM Marikina, Glorietta 2, SM Fairview, SM Centerpoint, SM Taytay, SM Aura, Alabang Town Center, SM Marilao, SM Pampanga and SM Baliuag; and pay the entry fee:
- 1 event – P500
- 2 events – P700 (discounted rate applies only when registered and
paid on the same day and branch)
Payments and entry forms are accepted in abovementioned participating Toby’s Sports branches only. Maximum of two (2) events per player.
Deadline of entries is extended until October 20, 2014, and the coaches’ draw date is on Oct. 21, 2014, 2pm at the Toby’s Sports Head Office in #73 C. Raymundo Ave., Brgy., Caniogan Pasig City.
Opening ceremonies is on Oct. 22, 8am, where events shirts and raffle prizes will be given away.
Trophies and gift packs await the winners. Plus, participants, their families, friends and spectators will enjoy intense competition, fun games and raffle prizes from Toby’s and the tournament sponsors.
