Thia is a Filipino-German raised in Cebu City. She began her modeling career in college, bagging her first beauty pageant win as the first runner-up of Miss Mandaue 2015.
In 2018, she became the subject of headlines as the very first Filipina to win the Miss Eco International crown. She signed with GMA Network soon after to be the host of lifestyle show Glam Up with Winwyn Marquez and Michelle Dee.
Now, she’s going to be dipping her toes in acting and with none other than the current Box Office King!

When asked if she feels threatened by Alden’s fanbase, Thia assured the media during a recent press conference for The Gift that she doesn’t.
“I’ve always had believed [that] there are a lot of people you can’t please and there are some people who would not be happy about what you do or whatever you are doing in your life,” she said.
“But what I admire about Alden’s fans would be that they are very protective [of] Alden. And I admire that kasi bihira nalang yung loyalty sa fans ngayon (loyalty is rare among fans nowadays), so I think you know that he’s very lucky to have them in his life,” she added.

She also talked about having experienced being bullied before and how she won’t be surprised if it happens to her again. She then said that she will do whatever she can to inspire her audience to spread love instead of hate.
“I think what I can encourage for people to do is to be mindful of what they say rather than just saying something,” she shared. “Parang isipin nila bago nila ilabas kasi (Think before you speak because) imagine if those words would come back to you.”
