‘The Voice Teens’ Season 2 to End This Weekend with Grand Finals

Twelve teen artists with varying styles are moving one step closer to becoming the grand champion of “The Voice Teens” as the show’s second season crowns its grand champion this weekend (August 15 and 16) on Kapamilya Channel.

Due to the ongoing quarantine, the finale will feature the top 12 teen artists performing from their own homes, challenging all of them to effectively deliver the message and emotions of their songs in home videos.

The mechanics for choosing the grand champion will also be different this season and will be announced in full during the show this weekend.

Representing Coach Bamboo’s Kamp Kawayan in the finale are Rock Opong of Iloilo, Kate Ocampo of Rizal, and Heart Salvador of Alabang, who all competed in previous “The Voice Kids” seasons.

Coach Sarah Geronimo will bring together Jaylloyd Garche of Bacolod, Kendra Aguirre of Las Pinas, and Andre Parker of Antipolo in the finale.

Meanwhile, coach Lea Salonga’s FamiLea will have Kristian Rajagopal of Surigao, Cydel Gabutero of Negros Occidental, and Alexia Tag-at of Cebu vying for the championship.

Earning the chance to fight for their dreams on coach Apl de Ap’s team are Yang-yang Aloya of Batangas, Isang Manlapaz of Muntinlupa, and Calvin Candelaria of Camarines Sur.

Who will be named this season’s grand champion?

The second season of “The Voice Teens,” hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga, has drawn viewers nationwide from when it debuted on ABS-CBN in February until it moved to cable TV on Kapamilya Channel when the network’s franchise application was denied.

Despite this, viewers have continued to cheer for their favorite teen artists online as the show consistently tops Twitter’s trending topics and attracts more than 50,000 concurrent live viewers online every week.

The finale weekend of “The Voice Teens” airs on Saturday at 7:30 PM and on Sunday at 7:15 PM on Kapamilya Channel (SKYcable channel 8 on SD and channel 167 on HD, Cablelink channel 8, G Sat channel 22, and most cable operators under the Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association PCTA nationwide). It is also streamed live via Kapamilya Channel and its episodes are available on-demand on the iWant app and on iwant.ph
