The UP 49ers’ 60th Anniversary Month: 60 Years of Greatness, Stronger Than Ever

This year, the UP Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Association or the UP 49ers will be celebrating its diamond anniversary. For 60 years, the organization has been producing top-notch leaders, professionals, and engineers alike, both in the academe and the industry. Being the premier academic organization on mining, metallurgical, and materials engineering, the UP 49ers keeps moving forward in its pursuit of academic excellence, social awareness and holistic development.

      In line with this, the UP 49ers has grander events in store for everyone: now on its 5^th year, the National Mining and Metallurgical Engineering (NMME) Summit 2014 aims to bring together future mining and metallurgical engineers from all over the Philippines to tackle recent issues and advancements in the industry as well as to promote responsible engineering; Cliptomania 2015 is the ultimate quiz show for undergraduate and postgraduate movie enthusiasts, which is already on its 13^th installment; UP 49ers Gives Back is a social outreach project aimed to appreciate the hardworking staff of the UP Department of Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, the home department of the UP 49ers; and to culminate the anniversary month, the UP 49ers will hold its Grand Alumni Homecoming & Anniversary Party as a celebration of the UP 49ers’ 60 years of greatness and excellence.
