Ever wondered what it’s like to grow up on Mars?
Upcoming film The Space Between Us is about a boy who was raised on Earth’s neighboring planet, Mars. It started out as all space exploration stories–a group of astronauts setting out into space to study Mars. Only, in this case, one of the astronauts was unknowingly carrying a child in her womb. She died in childbirth; the identity of the father left unknown. Therefore, Gardner Elliot, played by Asa Butterfield, was raised in space by 14 scientists. Until it was time for him to come back to earth.
