World of Dance Manila is in full force on its 4th year in the local street dance scene! On March 3, 2018, witness over 50 street dance crews from all over the country fight to win the trophy and the chance to fly to the World of Dance finals in Los Angeles, California.
World of Dance is a global media company which sets up dance competitions around the world and operates a multi-channel dance network on YouTube. Founded in Cerritos, California in 2008, the World of Dance Tour has become the largest urban street dance competition franchise worldwide. WOD has installments held in over 14 locations in the United States alone, and in over 20 countries worldwide. 2017 marked the first year of the finals being televised on NBC, the network that brought you The Voice and America’s Got Talent, with the help of Executive Producer Jennifer Lopez.
With last year’s champions, Nitrous Image Crew for Upper Division and Sayawatha for Youth Division, World of Dance Manila has continued to highlight the essence of Filipino talent in the local dance community. Discover fresh talent from crews and solo artists competing in the Youth, Upper, and Team Divisions, in the new competition format. Moreover, the competition exposes Filipinos to international dance acts, never failing to give a show that deserves nothing less than a standing ovation. This year, World of Dance Manila is bringing in international names to perform at the competition, such as Sienna Lalau, KazHataboy, and Just Jet.
