This year, BS Hotel and Restaurant Management students: Convention and Events Management Class 2014 presents, The 5th National Young Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Power Conference with the theme: “Filipino Hospitality beyond Borders”. It primarily aims to inspire young hoteliers and restaurateurs by keeping in view the immense potential of hospitality industry in the development of national economy. The event aims to keep in view the immense potential of hospitality industry in the development of national economy. Moreover, it aims to build camaraderie amongst students and teachers from other schools through fair competition.

They have very powerful speakers from in and out of the industry including Ms. Marjorie Tong, Owner or Sweet Success. Mr. Frank Reyes, Owner of Reyes Barbeque. Mr. Ryan Sebastian, Director of Tourism Investment Promotion group. Chef Bruce Lim, Entrepreneur, TV producer and host, Chef. Ms. Ma. Christina Aquino, President Council of Hospitality and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines. Ms. Venus Raj, TV Personality, Host and Miss Universe 2010, 4th Runner Up and their keynote speaker, Mr. Ferdinand “Bong-Bong” Marcos Jr., Senator of Republic of the Philippines.

The event will be held at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City on August 27, 2014 starting at 1 o’clock in the afternoon targeting more than 1,000 delegates coming from more than 50 schools, colleges, and universities around the country. The event will donate 15% of the total income to ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. and 10% to Bahay Pag-Asa of De La Salle University- Dasmariñas.
