Life of a student is a cycle of fun, learning, sleepless nights, success, and failures. Each university or college has their own way of helping the students unwind. De La Salle University, for example, has their famous Happy Thursday. On the other hand, we have our TGIF. It has been part of the Philippine Women’s University’s tradition to gather students to perform and showcase their talents for a weekender celebration. This has been started by our alumnus, Mr.
Eugenio “Boy” Abunda, Ph.D. in the year 2011 and has been regularly organized since then.
The Student Council, together with the Student Affairs, will be having the first TGIF (Thank God it’s Friday) for the School Year 2017-2018 on September 22, 2017, Friday, with a theme “Ultimate Bonding Experience.” The event will be held at the Bayanihan Paseo of Philippine Women’s University, Taft, Manila. It will run from 5 o’clock in the afternoon until late in the evening. The organizers have invited students and performers from different schools. Selected groups of Music students from PWU will also be performing such as Servus Dei, Banda ni Shiber, Pawikan, and more. We have also prepared other activities and games that will surely unleash the party animal in you. It’s Friyay again and you all know the drill! Missing this would be a crime. We can’t wait to have fun with all of you! This is an event open to all. See ya’ll!
