Test Kitchen Caffe: You Got To Taste Their Liempo-Chon and Homemade Cheesecakes NOW!

I’ve been living in Paranaque for quite some time now and I’ve seen the city flourish into a relatively grown business district. The city has two giant malls and in between, you’ll find a variety of authentic restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, and more.

Speaking of cafes, when I’m pressed for time to finish articles, I would visit different cafe establishments within the area, where I could work, think, and dine.

Surprisingly, this gem of a cafe invited me to try their bestsellers such as Liempo-Chon (their version of Cebu Lechon) and deliciously homemade pastries such as cheesecakes, muffins, and brownies!

They are located along Tropical Avenue inside BF Homes in Paranaque. When you’re coming from CAA or Las Pinas, enter the Tropical gate and TKC is on the left side. According to the lovely owners Chef Vincent and Gigi, they envisioned opening the second floor to accommodate more customers. They needed to expand due to the demand for small gatherings like office meetings; special occasions such as birthdays, baptisms, weddings (for a small family), and workshops, as well.

Test Kitchen Caffe

Test Kitchen Caffe serves well-seasoned Peri-Peri Chicken. It’s a Roasted Chicken with their own version of famous Peri-Peri sauce. Super sarap! The Peri-Peri Chicken above is the size serving for potluck orders.

The Test Kitchen Caffe offers good food, homely ambiance, and pleasurable pastries, all wrapped up in one.

In case you’re wondering why they named it “Test Kitchen Caffe, it’s because the two owners, who met during their culinary days thought it would be enticing to use it since all of their food were basically tested at home first. After which, if it passed their friends and family’s standards, they test it again at the TKC kitchen before serving to customers. Hence, the house-made taste in every bite!

Interestingly, their dishes are also influenced by their tasteful travels and impeccable palettes. Chef Vincent travels with his family while his business partner, Miss Gigi, enjoys enhancing her palettes tasting authentic dishes from different countries, as well.

Let start craving, shall we?

Personally, it’s best eaten while hot. I loved the salsa and the lemongrass in between the meat! (hard for people with braces. But, who cares, LOL!) This is the talk of the town, TKC’s Liempo-Chon.

I’m glad Ms. Gigi happily explained the history behind this tasty, juicy, and tangy Liempo-chon. She originally came from Cebu. So, when she was testing the menu to be served in Test Kitchen Caffe, she thought of bringing the authentic taste of the Cebu Lechon to her kitchen. As luck would have it, the people loved it, hence, it became one of their extraordinary dishes!

Presenting to you their K-Pop Beef Teriyaki. The kids and kid-at-heart will definitely enjoy this dish. It’s sweet, tangy, salty, perfectly mixed together.

Another reason for you to love the place is their Beef Kalbi. In fact, this is Chef Vincent and I’s favorite dish at TKC. It’s braised beef short ribs with Shitake mushrooms. The beef is surprisingly soft and flavorful! A must-try rice meal at the Test Kitchen Caffe.

Belly-filling Pasta

A Filipino-inspired restaurant is incomplete unless you have Adobo on the menu! I love their version of Adobo Pasta. You’ll love the taste of stewed chicken and pork topped with a sunny-side up egg. AdoboSpaglog! It’s perfectly cooked to your liking!

I don’t eat spicy food. However, this is an exemption. I didn’t finish it, though, as I fancy the Beef Kalbi more, LOL!

And, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, their mouthwatering homemade pastries. I described it as “homemade” as it gave me a “ratatouille” moment. You know the moment Anton Ego (a character from the movie Ratatouille) took his first bite and brought back childhood memories? That’s how I felt about their blissful desserts!

Let’s start with my recommendation, the Red Velvet Cheesecake.

Their Red Velvet Cheesecake was devoured by yours truly. (Hello, diabetes!) Indeed, a confectionary masterpiece.

We were given a variety of cheesecakes, but my top two were blueberry and red cherry cheesecake. Admittedly, both were delish and I could not tell which was better. I think you must try the red cherry for a change. 🙂

Suggestion: All cakes are best partnered with their drip coffee.

And, last but definitely not least, is their salted caramel brownie cup.

This staple dessert was sensational! The brownie was chewy and complemented well with their vanilla ice cream, sprinkled with almonds.

Therefore, whether you’re looking for a coffice or a place to please your special someone or friends, Test Kitchen Caffe got your back!

Ultimately, if you want to experience an unforgettable combination of quality and affordability, swing by Test Kitchen Caffe SOON!
