The University of the Philippines’ Office of Public Affairs posted a video on YouTube in celebration of the holiday season and to encourage alumni, faculty, staff, and other Iskolar ng Bayan to join in its festivities this season. The central theme of the video is to bring nostalgia by reciting one’s student number.

On the YouTube post, it says:

Do you still remember your student number? Have you memorized it so well that merely reciting it brings back memories of UP? What else reminds you of the University? What else are to you #TatakUP?

Relive some of the university’s #TatakUP by joining the university in its activities this Holiday Season. Join fellow alumni, faculty, staff and other Iskolar ng Bayan for #OneUP.

The following video came with it. Watch it below.

Apparently, even years or decades after graduation, these celebrity alumni still remember their respective student number. Assigned to all incoming freshmen, the student number serves as an identification from day one until graduation. At times, it even goes beyond that. It is used during enrollment, in taking exams for anonymity prevent bias when checking, and when posting grades.

The student number isn’t just a series of numbers. Evidently, it is a proof of recognition and it is something that instantly brings back the memories of UP.

So, do you remember your student number?
