Tao Rin Pala (TRP) is an annual choral competition and variety show held by the UP Medical Students’ Society, a student organization of the UP College of Medicine founded in 1973. This is the biggest and most awaited event in the University of the Philippines College of Medicine-Philippine General Hospital (UPCM-PGH) community. Different student organizations, classes, and hospital departments prepare unique performances and come together for a night of fun and celebration.
Now on its 44th run, Tao Rin Pala is back in production with the theme DECADES. We seek to turn back the hands of time and go back to the defining moments of each decade in the last century. Let us relive the experience and see how much the years have changed us, and how much we have grown as a people.
Each performance is centered on a specific moment, defining event, popular trend, or life-changing discovery that is easily attributable to a certain decade from the 1900s until the present. As the years go by and the story unfolds, we remember the times of glory and times of strife, the days of victories and days of failures that have shaped the life we live today and the people we have become.
