Tao Rin Pala 41: Viva Festivale!
Back in the day, the gap between medical students and consultants was nigh insurmountable. There is even a term that gives this away: anak ng diyos, referring to the son or daughter of a doctor. The doctor, then, was akin to a god, unreachable, and perhaps more importantly, inhuman.
This is where the University of the Philippines Medical Students’ Society stepped in with their show Tao Rin Pala. Starting off as a simple gathering of students and doctors alike, it has evolved into one of the most awaited events of the entire UP Manila campus. Featuring a dazzling variety of performances from the different classes, departments, and organizations of the University of the Philippines and Philippine General Hospital, it showcases a whole different side of both students and doctors alike, showing that really, we are all, indeed, tao rin pala.
