Takbo para kay Alvaro: Fund-raising Fun Run 
Takbo para kay Alvaro is a fun-run that will be held in Dona Julia Vargas Street on August 17, 2014. Organized by Aspirants for Saxum, the event primarily aims to raise some funds for the members of the said organization. They will be flying to Madrid, Spain this coming September to serve as volunteers for the beatification of Bishop Alvaro Del Portillo which will take place on the 27th of the month. In order to make this possible, these volunteers would have to raise some money to pay for their expenses.
Aspirants for Saxum is composed of college students and young professionals from University of Asia and the Pacific. Its main objective is to provide professional and character development for young men. Its activities encourage them to see their studies, work and family responsibilities in a broader and more complete perspective. The spiritual dimension of this organization’s activities is entrusted to the Catholic Prelature of Opus Dei.
