Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano said that financial aid amounting to PHP 8,000 will be given to members of the accredited jeepney, tricycle, and pedicab operators and drivers associations in the city. It will be done in two installments of PHP 4,000 each.

According to Councilor Noel Dizon, head of the city’s committee on transportation, PUV drivers should coordinate with the president of their respective transport organizations so that they can be included in the list of qualified beneficiaries.

The local government is also working towards including taxi drivers affected by the Luzon-wide quarantine due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
