Soon You Can Stream “Sunday Beauty Queen,” MMFF 2016’s Best Picture Awardee

The COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged studios and filmmakers all over the world to share their movies, TV shows, and theater productions online for free. The latest title to be available for streaming is Sunday Beauty Queen, the Best Picture Awardee at 2016’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

According to the movie’s official Facebook, page, the documentary will be available for streaming starting May 15 on YouTube. The page captioned the post with, “Because you asked for it. ??

Sunday Beauty Queen is directed by Baby Ruth Villarama and  follows a group of domestic workers in Hong Kong as they prepare for an annual beauty pageant. It was one of the official entries of the MMFF in 2016, where it won Best Picture, Editing, and the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award. It was also one of the three winners of the Children’s Choice Award.
