Have you seen today’s Google Doodle yet? Today, it honors the legacy of the famous crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin, who I’m sure we all miss to this day.
Steve Irwin had always loved wildlife after his parents gave him an 11-foot-long python on his 6th birthday. When his family moved to Queensland, they opened the Beerwah Reptile Park where he started wrestling with crocodiles at the tender age of 9. The park eventually turned into the Australia Zoo.
Steve Irwin was also nominated for the Australian of the Year in 2004 and is now also in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
