It was recently announced that Ruby Rose, who was originally slated to play Kate Kane (aka Batwoman) in the show’s first season, has stepped down from the big role. Her statement read: “This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles.”
Soon after that, Stephanie Beatriz, who plays one of our favorite police detectives on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, tweeted that she was reading everything about Batwoman, hinting that she may be interested in the role:
