Local showbiz comedians and celebrities are expressing remorse over the passing of their dear friend and coworker, Kim Idol, who died on Monday, July 13, at a hospital in Caloocan. He was 41 years old.
According to a report by Push, Kim Idol (real name Michael Argente) had suffered from an arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a brain condition wherein an abnormal connection between arteries and veins disrupts normal blood flow and oxygen circulation.

Prior to his death, Kim Idol also worked as a volunteer front-liner amid the COVID-19 pandemic as a marshal of the Bureau of Quarantine at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, which was transformed into a designated COVID-19 quarantine facility.
Some of the celebrities who posted tributes and expressed their grief on social media were Allan K., Ai-Ai Delas Alas, Ogie Alcasid, Pops Fernandez, Jaya, and Paolo Ballesteros.
“You were one of the best talents Klownz and Zirkoh have ever had. One of the funniest on and off stage. You will always be remembered by people whose lives you touched through comedy. Rest in peace Kim Idol.. we will miss you,” Allan K. wrote on his Instagram post.
“Kim Idol napakabilis ng mga pangyayari. Rest now with Jesus. Pasayahin mo pa ang mga anghel sa langit gaya ng pagpapasaya mo sa mga frontliners nitong mga nakaraang buwan ng lockdown at pati na rin sa aming lahat na napapatawa mo,” Ogie shared in his own post.
